Discover Qatar During FIFA World Cup 2022
Petroleum, natural gas, ultramodern architecture, and skyscraper,… are what people think about Qatar. This year, mainly, people know about this country with Qatar World Cup 2022. If you are planning to go to the world’s largest sporting event this year, don’t forget to discover Qatar. The country has more things for you to explore than just its oil wealth.
Visit the Museum of Islamic Art

Considered the crown jewel of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art is a favorite destination for many visitors. The museum was built in 2006 and designed by Chinese-American architect, Ioeh Ming Pie. In addition to precious treasures, it is also home to a collection of 21,000 books, including 2,000 rare editions in both Arabic and English.
Explore Katara Cultural Village

Located on the east coast of Doha, it is a cultural landmark that integrates historical features while inspiring art and culture in Qatar. The village includes an open lecture hall, theater, cinema, hall, handicraft market, book stall, beach, and especially has a variety of international dishes.
Relax at The Pearl-Qatar

This is an artificial island off the coast of Qatar, about 9 km from the center of Doha. Visitors will experience many tourist facilities such as hotels, yachts, and high-class shopping centers. This island is also the most popular tourist attraction when visiting Qatar. Hence, your trip to discover Qatar won’t be complete if you don’t visit this place.
Go to Souq Waqif Market

Souq Waqif is the first and oldest central market in the Qatari capital. Visitors can find many different items, from clothes, towels, aromatherapy, spices, perfumes, diamonds, and perfume oils… here. In particular, the sellers at the market are mainly men.
Experience Thrilling Games

For those who love adventure, Qatar has quite a few options for you. You will experience the phases of paragliding, off-road racing on immense sand dunes or kitesurfing, and kayaking at the beaches.
Enjoy the Food
Although Qatar is famous for its Arabic and Middle Eastern cuisine, restaurants and hotels still serve other cuisines from around the world such as Mediterranean, Indian, French, and some neighboring countries. However, local cuisine is still something visitors should not miss when coming here.
Stay in Luxury Hotels
Your trip to discover Qatar will be more complete when staying at luxury hotels. Perfect service, comfort, and luxury space are what visitors will feel. Besides, the high-class hotels are located near the center, which is convenient for moving.

Read More: The Tent Costs Up to $400/ Night During Qatar World Cup 2022
The demand for accommodation for the 2022 World Cup is very high. Some hotels list prices around 3,200 USD/night, causing football fans headaches to find accommodation. As a result, the tent area prepared by the organizers is the choice of many people to reduce costs. The organizers calculate that about 3,600 people will choose to sleep in tents during this year's Qatar World Cup. These tents also cost up to $400 a night. They are located in a "World Cup village" right next to Farkiah beach. In return for the high price, these tents are relatively comfortable - unlike the tents at music festivals. The space inside is spacious, with a private bathroom and coffee maker. Other basic equipment such as TV, hair dryer, iron, refrigerator, safe and even Wi-Fi is provided. Although it's called a tent, it's as complete as a basic hotel room.

In fact, a few luxury hotels also have rooms such as Bentley Luxury Hotel and Suites. However, rents have skyrocketed. For example, a room available on October 25 costs more than $100/night. During the tournament, visitors have to pay $2,700/night. As the last matches, room rates continue to "escalate". If football fans plan to stay at the Holiday Villa Hotel and Residence City Center Doha for 7 nights, during November 30 to December 7, they will have to pay up to $21,000. There are plans to increase the number of accommodations for visitors during Qatar World Cup 2022. Fans can share rooms in empty apartments, villas, fan villages, and traditional desert tents. Additionally, 2 cruise ships in Doha can also be converted into floating hotels. It will be moored at the port of Doha for the duration of the tournament. As a result, Qatar can add about 70,000 rooms.
