It’s a Memorable 3 Days 2 Nights Mui Ne Itinerary

“Not all the journey is forever, but the memory lasts long”. Not sure if this is someone’s travel quote, but it reminds me of a very memorable trip with my last company. Indeed, that was a great 3 days 2 nights Mui Ne itinerary with a lot of fun and experience. And of course, I’m going to share it here, both to give you info to plan your trip and to save one of my best moments.

Day 1

6:00 – Having Breakfast at HCMC

VNG campus - the starting point of my 3 days 2 nights Mui Ne company-trip
The gathering point is at my company’s campus.

Wait, 6:00 a.m., really? Yes, you may be surprised about breakfast time. But it takes you more than 4 hours to go directly from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to Mui Ne. Also, there is a thing that I suggest you experience while on the way, which probably takes you more time to go to the destination, as I did. Hence, you should have your morning meal early.

Actually, my company’s bus left the gathering point at around 6:30. However, I think 6:00 is a better time. Anyways, you have a lot of choices on the menu of Saigon foods, and many of the restaurants open early too.

9:00 – Hiking Ta Cu Mountain

Check-in at the Reclining Buddha at the peak of Ta Cu mountain.

The joy of the 3 days 2 nights Mui Ne trip starts in Ta Cu mountain. This mountain is the reason I tell you to start the day early. Ta Cu mountain is a ‘top-pick’ destination for many people on the way to Mui Ne. It’s located in the area of Binh Thuan province, about 3 hours from HCMC and just about 30km away from Mui Ne.

Ta Cu is a mountain climbing site, an interesting landscape of Binh Thuan province with a peak of 649m above sea level. The scene here is pristine, marvelous with identical mountains, and glistening ancient pagoda roofs hidden behind trees. There is a trait for you to hike from the bottom to the top, with 1000 steps approximately, costing 3 hours on average. On the other hand, you can take a cable car to reach the top of the mountain, which only takes you 15 minutes.

At the bottom of Ta Cu mountain, there is a restaurant inside the area where you can have your lunch. They serve as a buffet with Vietnamese cuisine.

14:00 – Check-in at the Resort

It’s just 1 hour go from Ta Cu mountain to Mui Ne. Therefore, you can leave the hiking area at 13:00 to go to your hotel or resort at 14:00, right at the check-in time.

I’m going to share info about the hotels and resorts later in the article. But first, enjoy your time at Mui Ne!

The Afternoon and Night of Day 1

You can either relax at your resort or wander around the area of Mui Ne. There are many coffee shops, restaurants, and nightclubs. It’s better to keep your energy for the next day. Sights in Mui Ne are beautiful in the daytime.

I remember that my company hosted a party for us that night, having a buffet with seafood and full loads of beer. We sang karaoke too.

Oh, and in the late-night, we had groups to play board games and do activities. Do you know the game ‘The Werewolves of Millers Hollow‘? You should play this one. It’s very exciting and fun. And it may help you to get closer to your colleagues or friends, too. Such memorable!

Day 2

Morning – It’s Time to Explore Around

My breakfast at Pandanus Resort.

I’m not sure if your resort or hotel offers breakfast, which is similar to ours, or if you would love to eat at the local restaurants outside. Anyways, I suggest you have breakfast early because it will be so hot at noon, which possibly impacts your experience in the day.

As a big team, we decided to spend our day playing games and doing activities at the resort. Nevertheless, for you as a traveler to this land, here are some of the activities you can do on the second day:

Mui Ne Sand Dunes

Mui Ne Sang Dunes
Mui Ne’s sand dunes are good places to start your day in 3 days 2 nights Mui Ne trip.

This would be one of the most well-known Mui Ne attractions. Truly, many people come to the place because they love the activities with the sand dunes. For this, you can ask the concierge at your accommodation, or go discover it yourself.

Just a quick brief, as the geographic nature, there are different sand dunes in Mui Ne, including the Red Sand Dune, Bau Trang, or any place named ‘Đồi Cát’ in Vietnamese that you can find. At the spots, you can rent a Jeep, or an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) to drive around, or slide the dune on the boards.

Fairy Springs

Fairy Springs at Mui Ne
A part of Mui Ne’s Fairy Springs.

This is quite an appealing trait with different parts going through the mountain, sand dune, tree, and even a small zoo-coffee, as I can remember. With the spring as your pathway, it’s very interesting when walking around with bare feet. Certainly, Fairy Springs will be one of the most attractive traits that you have ever walked in.

The Beaches

A Beach at Mui Ne

Of course, you can easily find a beach at Mui Ne, because this’s the seaside. If you love swimming in the sea, why not add this activity to your Mui Ne bucket list?

Noon – What to Do?

How do you feel about the weather in Mui Ne? It’s so hot, isn’t it? So, depending on the activities that you do in the morning, you could arrange your schedule in the noon and afternoon with lunch, or anything that you like. Visiting Mui Ne sand dunes in the morning, then Fairy Springs in the afternoon, or vice versa, are all your choices for the trip. Both activities can be done within a day.

In my case, my company decided to host team-building games for us to gain a stronger connection among people. Not sure if it was effective, but I left the company about 6 months later, all thanks to my worst team leader! But anyway, again, this was a very memorable trip for me!

The Night – It’s Time to Relax for the Next Day

Have you found any favorite bars or clubs since the first day? Yes, I’m sure you would have your plan for the second night. Have fun!

Talking about my company trip, we had a ‘what-a-night’ full of joy, games, wine, spirit, and beer. Not sure how many we drank and how long the party lasted, I came back to my room very late. That was absolutely another ‘hit’ of the trip!

The Last Day of 3 Days 2 Nights Mui Ne Trip

5:00 – It’s Really a Time to Wake Up!

The morning fishing activities at Mui Ne 's fishing village
The morning activities at a fishing village.

Don’t be surprised again, or you will miss the morning fishing activities of the nearby village and the gorgeous sunrise on the beach. Those are all the must-do things on my Mui Ne bucket list.

In the fishing village, you can buy the fresh seafood that the locals just caught, and bring it to the resort then they can cook you breakfast. Make sure you add those things to your to-do list too.

8:00 – Go Swimming, or Spa

The swimming pool at Pandanus Resort, Mui Ne, Vietnam
It’s the swimming pool at Pandanus Resort.

That was what I did at the time. Because of the blue sea and leisure activities that I haven’t participated in, it’s better to do them before the check-out time, in my opinion.

12:00 and Afterwards – Another Journey Begins

Perhaps it’s time to say the quote in the beginning again. As most check-out time is at 12:00, we had to say goodbye to the land. It was also the end of my 3 days 2 nights Mui Ne trip with the company. From this point, I think of two selections that you can do:

Going Back to Ho Chi Minh City

If you’ve missed any attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, going back to the city is a must. Nonetheless, on the way back, you should spend a little time visiting Ke Ga Cape, a wild natural area that assuredly brings to you an unforgettable experience. Visiting the destination, you will have a chance to see the most ‘rock garden’ in many special shapes. Evenly, you can find the tallest and oldest lighthouse in the world.

Heading to Nha Trang City

Assuredly, following the coastal side from the South to Middle Vietnam, Nha Trang city is a significant shiny gem. The place has all the activities, experiences, and sights that you can visit and enjoy. Moreover, there is a long list of Nha Trang cuisine which may take you even a week to taste all the foods. So, how about spending a few more days on a Nha Trang trip?

Where to Stay in Mui Ne?

Pandanus Resort

Pandanus Resort, where I stay in the 3 days 2 nights Mui Ne company-trip
The morning at Pandanus Resort.

“The buildings and landscape are designed to complement, not compete with the natural surroundings. Adjacent to the beach is a huge free-form pool surrounding an island covered with palm trees. Throughout the gardens are small streams, lakes with lotus blossoms, dozens of colorful tropical plants and flowers, and displays of Cham cultural icons. In the very center are three descending water lily ponds. The public areas have been constructed in the Cham architectural style, with stately high wooden ceilings, while the bungalows and guest buildings match the colors of the orange sand dunes above the resort.” – This is how Pandanus Resort introduces itself.

Indeed, I was pretty much impressed with the decoration and architecture of the house. My room had all the needed amenities. Especially the pool, which was where I spent most of my time at the resort, even though it was a little bit far from my room. For the food, I wouldn’t rate it the best, but good enough to fill your stomach in the morning, and make you a happy day. Overall, the resort partly contributed to the greatness of my 3 days 2 nights Mui Ne company trip.

Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa

Built in traditional Vietnamese style, Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa was once voted one of the most beautiful resorts in Mui Ne – Phan Thiet. The resort consists of 57 bungalows with rustic thatched-roofed houses nestled among flowery gardens.

Visitors here can enjoy a full range of Vietnamese dishes and international cuisine with fresh seafood ingredients at L’Océane restaurant or enjoy drinks at the bar near the swimming pool and the beach.

The resort also has a separate area with a sea view including many services: a private massage room, a bath for couples, a jacuzzi, and a spa village to bring relaxation to you with various massage treatments.

Tien Dat Resort

Tien Dat Mui Ne Resort is one of the top choices among the affordable resorts in the area, with an average price of $40. Located in a quiet and peaceful space, the resort totally has 110 fully equipped bedrooms with views of the tropical garden and golden sand beach.

Coming to Tien Dat Resort, you can enjoy the fresh air and harmonious architecture. The outdoor swimming pool blends with the charming natural scene. Swimming refreshes your mind. Furthermore, you can enjoy and dine right at the pool. Coming here, the blue sea, soft sand, and cool breeze are all waiting for you.

Anantara Mui Ne Resort

Anantara Mui Ne Resort, a gem on Vietnam’s coastline, is not only a haven of comfort but also a leader in sustainable travel. With its Green Growth 2050 certification, the resort showcases its commitment to environmental stewardship and community development. You can enjoy the luxury of this beachfront paradise while supporting eco-friendly practices like water and energy conservation, waste management, and cultural sustainability. Anantara Mui Ne is an exemplary model of how resorts can provide exceptional experiences with a conscience.
