According to the World Happiness Report 2021 on March 19, Finland continues to be the happiest country in the world. Indeed, Finland “ranked very high on the measures of mutual trust that have helped to protect lives and livelihoods during the pandemic”, said the report’s author. Behind this country, the list has Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Luxembourg, New Zealand, and Austria.
In fact, this is the 4th consecutive year that Finland crowns the list of “happiest countries in the world”. The rankings are evaluated based on GDP per capita, social support, generosity, healthy expectations, freedom to choose life, perceptions of corruption, etc.
